Unit 05 · Two-Bedroom · Sleeps 4
The largest unit at Boskraai, and the only one where nobody shares a bathroom. Full kitchen, private patio, solar backup.
Both bedrooms have a queen bed and their own en-suite with shower, basin and toilet, which makes the unit work for two couples as readily as for a family of four. The living area is open-plan, with the kitchen along one wall and the dining table by the doors to the garden.
Outside there is a covered patio with its own furniture and braai. The pool and the playground are a short walk across the lawn.

The Area · A Guide For Guests
St Lucia is the gateway village to South Africa’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, inscribed in 1999. Boskraai is a few minutes from the gate.
The park covers roughly 328 000 hectares up the coast of KwaZulu-Natal to the Mozambique border — the only reserve in Africa where hippo, crocodile, whale, turtle and rhino share one address. Lake St Lucia at its centre is the largest estuarine system on the continent, and the park records more than 500 bird species.
Two hours on the water among an estimated 800 hippo and well over a thousand Nile crocodile, leaving from the jetty a short drive from the house. Worth booking a day or two ahead in high season.
32 km of park road through the Eastern Shores, about an hour because you will stop — zebra, kudu, buffalo and waterbuck on the grass plains, and a snorkelling beach at the end.
Turtles nest through the southern summer, humpback whales pass offshore from winter into spring, and game viewing is easiest in the dry months when animals concentrate at water.

They leave the estuary after dark to graze the verges and lawns, and come right into St Lucia — it is normal to meet one on the road outside the gate. They are fast and dangerous when startled or cut off from the water. Drive after sunset and never walk between a hippo and the estuary.
A peaceful retreat in the heart of St Lucia — close to nature, stunning beaches and local attractions.
